Seasonal Cashier

About the role

This is a seasonal position ending after the 2026 holiday season, located at 6611 E McDowell Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215. Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for an enthusiastic Seasonal Front of House Team Member who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. In this role you will work within a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection from scratch‑baked breads and pastries to soups, salads, and sandwiches made with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Actively listen to guests and confidently suggest meal and gift items to first‑time guests and returning regulars.
• Work quickly, learn from mistakes, and look for opportunities to step in and help other departments before being asked.
• Maintain a “can do” attitude.

Requirements

• 1+ years of customer service/serving experience (preferred, not required).
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal food handler and sanitation standards.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn from mistakes and assist teammates proactively.

Pay

Competitive hourly wage plus the opportunity to earn tips on each shift.

Schedule

Flexible schedule; shifts vary week to week based on customer traffic and time of year, typically starting as early as 7 am and ending as late as 10 pm, Monday through Saturday.
