Position Summary
The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter improves the shopping experience by accessing inventory across all retail locations to quickly find the right product for customers. The role involves filling BOSS orders, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores while maintaining product quality and appearance.
Essential Functions
- Receive, inspect, and sort merchandise in the back room.
- Fill orders by matching merchandise to order specifications and placing items in appropriate containers.
- Apply designated labels and visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
- Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material‑handling equipment (e.g., stock pickers, lift trucks) or manually load/unload trailers.
- Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety procedures.
- Attend mandatory training and in‑services such as new‑employee orientation, safety, and job‑skills training.
- Assist customers on the sales floor during store hours, helping them locate merchandise and make buying decisions.
- Communicate issues affecting job performance (e.g., short picks, out‑of‑stocks, inventory counts, supply needs).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
- Follow through on order processing and properly close orders in the BOSS system.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co‑workers, and customers.
- Read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with a team.
- Stand for extended periods; constantly walk or stand during shift.
- Operate receiving equipment and material‑handling machinery.
- Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, or work in tight/confined spaces.
- Occasionally work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements (precipitation, wind), and noisy environments.
Independent Judgment
Works under general supervision using established procedures, choosing from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasionally exercises independent judgment to complete assignments and often recommends improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
Pay
Starting pay rate: $15.00 – $17.75 per hour (part‑time).
