Seasonal Beauty Advisor

About the Role

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor (BA) is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging each guest to determine their individual needs, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked with merchandise, maintaining overall store cleanliness, and completing tasks as assigned. This position supports the leadership team through a focus on performance, people, and process, requiring a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing service to their needs.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events, supporting their execution to deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay informed about new and existing products, including ingredients and benefits, to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment, supporting teammates and guests.
• Share guest loyalty program benefits, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, with guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, for professional development and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Skills

• Passion for guest service and competency in selling.
• Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
