Seasonal Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Idaho Falls Airport - Full Time

About the role

This seasonal full-time position is located at the Idaho Falls Airport (2140 N Skyline Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83402) and pays $16.50 per hour. Seasonal employees may work for up to 120 days during a defined season.

Schedule

The following schedules are available:

• Tuesday–Saturday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Sunday & Monday: OFF)
• Tuesday & Wednesday: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, Saturday: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM (Thursday, Friday, Sunday & Monday: OFF)
• Sunday–Tuesday: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Friday & Saturday: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM (Wednesday & Thursday: OFF)

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage.
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found.
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns.
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, including windshield rock chip repairs.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past five years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
