About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Seasonal Automotive Detailer to join our team at Gulf Shores Regional Airport (GUF), 3190 Airport Drive, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. This seasonal position starts on or after May 12th, 2026 and ends on or before October 19th, 2026, with a maximum duration of 180 days.

Schedule

Part-time seasonal schedules (choose one):

• A – Sunday, Monday, & Thursday 12pm-8:30pm
• B – Monday, Thursday, & Friday 8am-4:30pm
• C – Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 8am-4:30pm
• D – Monday 10am-8pm, Sunday & Thursday 9:30am-6pm

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other miscellaneous tasks
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
• Candidates with more than 1 excessive speeding violation (26+ mph over the posted speed limit) on their driving record within the last 3 years will be disqualified
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from this location
• Must be at least 18 years old
• This is a seasonal position; you may work up to a maximum of 6 months (180 days) during the defined season and must experience a 13 consecutive week break in service before being re-hired
