Seasonal Auto Detailer - Tuscaloosa

Enterprise Mobility, operating the National, Enterprise, and Alamo car rental brands, is looking for a Seasonal Auto Detailer to join our team. This position is located at 210 Skyland Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.

$15.00 / hour

Schedule

Seasonal position (cannot exceed 150 days). Minimum schedule requirements:

• Full Time: 40 hours per week, minimum 5 days per week (including weekends)
• Part Time: 25 hours per week, minimum 3 days per week (including weekends)

As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans, ensuring they meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage
• Fuel and stage vehicle
• Inspect vehicle for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including general cleaning of interior and exterior branch locations (e.g., desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot)
• Perform miscellaneous tasks related to daily cleanliness of the branch location
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years
• Candidates with more than one excessive speeding violation (26+ mph over the posted speed limit) in the past three years will be disqualified
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past five years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from the location
• Seasonal employees may work up to 150 days during a defined season and must experience a 3-month break in service before working again as a seasonal or regular employee
