Seasonal Associate - Famous Footwear

Famous Footwear is your place for athletic, fashion and casual shoes for the whole family from hundreds of name brands. As a Seasonal Associate, you’ll create a welcoming in-store culture where customers feel loyal to the store, brands, and company. You’ll be a team player who celebrates successes, stays informed about trends, and shares that knowledge to build engaging customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Ace Retail Operations: ensure daily store tasks (pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory) are completed, keeping the store clean, organized, and shoppable.
• Be a Famous Culture Influencer: champion the company culture by delivering stellar customer engagement and top-notch experiences.
• Elevate to Your Goal-Crushing Era: take accountability for your effort, review store performance, and drive sales with purpose and urgency to achieve goals.
• Act with Integrity: adhere to company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and focus on professional development.
• Bring the Positive Vibes: embrace diversity and inclusivity, maintain a positive mindset, and support teammates through training and development.
• Be a Shoe-off: assist customers in finding the perfect styles and fit, making shoe recommendations to ensure they leave with the "Famous Feeling."

Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Able to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Demonstrates positive communication with store associates at all levels.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion, partnering with Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
