What You'll Do
- Your Impact: Design camps that inspire curiosity and creativity, fostering a sense of community and exploration.
- The Hive, July 6-August 7: Collaborative camp for 56 campers ages 5-12, exploring nature and contemporary artistic ideas through large-scale installations.
- Summer Studio for Teens, June 29-July 3 and August 10-14: Small cohort of 13-16-year-olds refining artistic techniques and developing confidence in their unique artistic voices.
What You'll Need
- A bachelor's degree in education, art, the sciences, the humanities, or other relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience working as an art educator, classroom teacher, or informal educator with ages 5-16
- A special interest in collaborative, interdisciplinary, place-based, progressive education and the intersections of art, nature, and science
- The physical and mental wherewithal to teach in various settings and conditions
- Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Full availability for camp staff training and assigned camp weeks
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years of age by the start of camp
- Current authorization to work in the United States
- Satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check
