About the role
Director Sean Larkin leads a boutique winery focused on producing unique varietals such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. With a background in sheet metal work and sommelier training, Larkin has built a reputation for discovering and promoting lesser-known wineries and varietals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and sales
- Manage relationships with suppliers and distributors to ensure consistent supply and quality
- Oversee production processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
- Collaborate with winemakers to develop new varietals and blends
- Represent the winery at industry events and tastings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in viticulture, enology, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in the wine industry, preferably in management roles
- Strong understanding of wine production and quality control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel frequently
