Seamstress-Full Time (Caesars Atlantic City)

About the role

Understands and responds to internal guests needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when encountering guests.

Responsibilities

• Makes necessary adjustments to flat and fitted items.
• Performs other sewing and related duties as assigned by management.
• Performs light maintenance sewing chores on employee uniforms or other linen fabric such as button replacement and mending of torn articles.
• Presses garments as required.
• Makes alterations by utilizing industrial power sewing machine and/or hand stitching.
• Records daily activities and work performed.
• Maintains stock in a neat, orderly fashion.
• Ensures equipment used is maintained in good condition.
• May repair housekeeping linens, drapes and/or curtains.
• Assists the Wardrobe Counter Attendants when needed, assisting employees with uniform exchange according to established procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Seamstress.
• Ability to operate a sewing machine, and sit for long periods.
• Must have a full understanding of mending and construction techniques.
• Ability to read, write and speak English preferred.
