Sealcoat Crew Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sealcoat Crew Laborer to assist with asphalt maintenance and sealcoating operations. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying sealcoat, and supporting the crew to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare asphalt surfaces by cleaning, blowing, edging, and removing debris
• Assist with mixing, loading, and applying sealcoat material to driveways, parking lots, and roadways
• Use brushes, squeegees, and spray systems to apply sealcoat evenly
• Set up cones, barricades, and signage to ensure safe work zones
• Maintain tools, hoses, and equipment; assist with clean-up at the end of each shift
• Auxiliary tasks such as crack filling, line striping, and other related tasks as needed
• Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Work cooperatively with team members and take direction from the foreman
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous experience in sealcoating or asphalt maintenance is a plus, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Comfortable working with hand tools, machinery, and materials
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL is a plus
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work as part of a team
• Willingness to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
