Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including:
• Broken torsion springs
• Frayed or damaged cables
• Faulty rollers and tracks
• Misfunctioning motor operators and control systems

Preventative Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance
• Lubricate moving components
• Adjust door tension and alignment
• Ensure systems meet OSHA safety standards

Technical Skills

• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Able to operate welding equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Basic knowledge of: Low-voltage electrical wiring, Motor controls, Hydraulic systems

Supervisory Responsibilities

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• AAADM (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers) certification preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the commercial door industry
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active Defense Bio-Metric Identification (DBIDS) Badge, which requires a favorable Federal, State, and local background check
