Seafood Teammate Part Time

Starting rate: $19.00 per hour

About the role

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the preparation and presentation of Seafood products within seafood display cases to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Provides accurate fulfillment of all Seafood special orders (e.g., shrimp platters) and adheres to all corporate and state sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of Seafood department products (e.g., prepare, price, stock, and maintain seafood case).
• Perform sanitation duties within the Seafood department, including cleaning dishes, food cases, and floors according to corporate and state regulations.
• Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times.
• Ensure the accuracy of customer special orders (e.g., shrimp platters).
• Operate various seafood department equipment, including product weight scales, ovens, and cleaning utensils.
• Learn and become proficient at setting ice displays to corporate standards.
• Perform suggestive selling, sampling, and PA announcements to promote sales.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy skills.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to operate seafood department equipment and perform tasks requiring physical activity, such as maintaining workstations, cleaning, and stocking.

Pay

Pay range: $16.75–$20.30 per hour
