Seafood Team Member

Wage: $14.00 an hour

Schedule: Part-time, evenings and weekends (4 pm–9 pm) at Fresh Foods, Lititz Pike.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perishable seafood according to proper handling instructions.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise various seafood items for display cases, including "ready to eat" and "heat and eat" meal solutions.
• Clean department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases; keep products and supplies well organized.
• Operate equipment (if over 18 years of age).
• Operate price scale with knowledge of current prices; price or change price tags on merchandise using the price list and coordinating with the scan department.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoices against items received.
• Promptly clear the floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Rotate product according to departmental guidelines.
• Set and sign displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
• Take and process customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring product is ready on time.
• Take inventory or examine merchandise regularly to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing duties, employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures while working in or around coolers.
