About the role

This position assists customers in their shopping experience by receiving, cutting, and serving seafood products efficiently, friendlily, and courteously.

Responsibilities

• Follow all guidelines for proper techniques of cutting and/or preparing items for display cases.
• Monitor all product expiration dates and ensure proper rotation.
• Maintain an inventory by counting and recording merchandise accurately.
• Change shelf tags, price markers, and label merchandise quickly and accurately.
• Answer customer questions accurately and courteously about department items, procedures, and policies.
• Weigh, wrap, and price selected items for customers at the counter.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards to achieve desired team and individual results.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and recognize when to involve store management.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
• Perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead, twisting at the waist, lifting up to 30 lbs., standing, walking, bending, squatting, and working in cold environments.

Requirements

• A food handling permit must be obtained within 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training and development as outlined in the Cosentino Learning Plan.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Knowledgeable about department items, procedures, and policies.
• Ability to operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for positive customer and peer interactions.
• Basic math and reading skills required for the position.
