Seaborne Platform Systems - Design Systems Engineer

About the role

As a Systems Engineer for Seaborne Platform Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for concept development and system engineering for USN submarine mechanical systems with a focus on new and emerging capabilities and technologies for the platform and warfighter.

Responsibilities

• Systems Engineering of integrated mechanical systems to include requirements management, hydraulic/electrical/mechanical interfaces, test planning, test execution, and reporting
• Submarine systems experience
• Concept Development and Rapid Prototyping
• Vendor/Subcontractor Coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.
• CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
