Sea Logistics Drayage Specialist

About the role

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimizing processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. By transporting medicines, toys, and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods but also making small and big moments possible for people all around the world.

Responsibilities

• Procure drayage/trucking rates from carriers and vendors for spot and key account needs
• Support RFQ pricing activity for long-term customer opportunities
• Help maintain organized pricing structures, rate information, and carrier feedback
• Analyze drayage market trends, carrier rates, and logistics needs to support pricing decisions
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to develop competitive pricing solutions
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak business periods
• Support customer solutions that improve cost, competitiveness, and tender success

Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience in trucking, drayage, freight forwarding, brokerage, ocean freight, or another logistics-related environment. Prior pricing experience is strongly preferred, especially with trucking, drayage, transload, carrier rates, spot pricing, or RFQ support. Candidates with strong logistics operations experience may also be considered if they understand how freight moves and are comfortable learning the pricing side of the business.

• Strong time management and ability to juggle competing priorities
• Comfort working with numbers, rates, pricing details, and data on a regular basis
• Strong Excel and data management skills
• Collaborative working style with the ability to own individual projects independently
• Flexibility to work through busy periods where priorities may shift quickly
• Experience with Tableau, VBA, SQL, Python, dashboards, or reporting tools is a plus
