Duties & Responsibilities
- Calibrate and properly run SEA equipment.
- Organize and report results of SEA test.
- Accurately fill out/record applicable paperwork.
- Performs all applicable inspection functions to the requirements of ASNT SNT TC-1A and API and internal procedures.
- Provide training to other NDT inspectors.
- If certified with a level I, report to another Inspector level II for acceptance/rejection of material.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Years of Experience: 1 year of experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry.
- Job Knowledge: Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry. At least Level I certificate on SEA or MP. Level II certificate is preferred. Successful completion of pre-screen drug test and physical.
- Personal Competencies: Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Safety: Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.
- The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
- The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
- Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
