SEA Inspector

Duties & Responsibilities

• Calibrate and properly run SEA equipment.
• Organize and report results of SEA test.
• Accurately fill out/record applicable paperwork.
• Performs all applicable inspection functions to the requirements of ASNT SNT TC-1A and API and internal procedures.
• Provide training to other NDT inspectors.
• If certified with a level I, report to another Inspector level II for acceptance/rejection of material.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Competencies

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Years of Experience: 1 year of experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry.
• Job Knowledge: Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry. At least Level I certificate on SEA or MP. Level II certificate is preferred. Successful completion of pre-screen drug test and physical.
• Personal Competencies: Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Safety: Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
• Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.
• The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
• The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
• Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
