SDM Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SDM Integration Engineer to join our telecom engineering team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of 5G Core Network Architecture, Subscriber Data Management (SDM) systems, cloud technologies, networking, and Kubernetes. The candidate will be responsible for SDM deployment, integration, configuration, and troubleshooting across telecom network environments.

Responsibilities

• Work with 5G Core Network Architecture and understand end‑to‑end call flows.
• Support SDM system deployment, integration, and configuration.
• Work with SDM network elements, including UDM, AUSF, HSS/HLR, EIR, and NDS.
• Perform integration and troubleshooting of cloud‑based telecom network solutions.
• Support Kubernetes‑based deployments and containerized network applications.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, integration issues, and system‑level problems.
• Work with protocols such as LDAP and DIAMETER.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful SDM integration and deployment.
• Assist with system testing, issue resolution, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in telecom/network engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of 5G Core Network Architecture and call flows.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud, networking, and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with Subscriber Data Management (SDM) systems.
• Good understanding of SDM network elements:
  • UDM (Unified Data Management)
  • AUSF (Authentication Server Function)
  • HSS/HLR (Home Subscriber Server / Home Location Register)
  • EIR (Equipment Identity Register)
  • NDS (Network Domain Security)
• Good knowledge of LDAP and DIAMETER protocols.
• Experience with SDM deployment and integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with telecom service providers or network equipment vendors.
• Knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G technologies.
• Experience with cloud‑native telecom applications.
• Familiarity with SDM integration testing and production support.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
