Your future role
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, reliability, and continuous improvement at the DFW Skylink SDC. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, Maintenance, and Customer Service), manage and direct the activities of technicians to meet service levels and availability, and implement safety and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Taking care of managing and directing activities of technicians to ensure maintenance procedures are completed safely, timely, and effectively while meeting customer expectations of service levels and availability.
- Developing and accurately maintaining preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicle and wayside systems in accordance with contractual requirements, customer and company directives, and prescribed maintenance practices for specific equipment.
- Making timely and responsible decisions regarding operational and personnel matters, including resource allocation, customer service issues, performance appraisals, employee development, and corrective actions.
- Coeordinating the planning, development, and implementation of recovery, repair, and preventive maintenance procedures to maintain system operations.
- Revising or directing the revision of recovery, repair, and preventive maintenance procedures as needed.
- Supporting the development and implementation of safety policies, practices, and operational initiatives that comply with all procedures, laws, and regulations for automatic and manual train movements.
- Ensuring compliance with safety policies, practices, and operational initiatives by all employees and visitors to the site.
All about you
- A degree in an engineering or technical-related subject or working towards a Degree or Higher Certificate in an engineering/technical discipline.
- Experience or understanding of Cityflo 650 Signalling systems.
- Knowledge of fleet management or asset management environments.
- Familiarity with wayside power distribution systems and rail maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in organization, project planning/management skills, governance, and execution.
- Understanding of RF radios and network radios.
- Commitment to safety policies, practices, and operational initiatives.
- Ability to develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
- Leadership and decision-making skills to manage technicians and operational matters effectively.
