SD WAN Engineer
Job Summary
Design, implement, and manage Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solutions, focusing on Fortinet technologies. Configure, update, and support security infrastructure, especially FortiGate firewalls with SDWAN and ADVPN features. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network reliability and security. Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and support staff to meet network requirements and resolve problems. Oversee network deployment, maintenance, and operation at client sites. Prepare, review, and validate Fortinet product configurations. Develop and maintain diagnostic and best practice procedures for effective network operations. Conduct network-related testing, problem investigation, and incident resolution. Provide technical support for open tickets and coordinate with the client's support organization. Support software upgrade processes and maintain inventory of hardware/software revisions.
Requirements
- Advanced Fortinet certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 7 or similar)
- Additional experience with Nexus switches, Cisco network products, and troubleshooting tools is preferred
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Cisco Collaboration, Umbrella, ThousandEyes, Viptela SD-WAN, cloud/IaaS, and Linux proficiency
Location
Must work onsite in Dallas, TX (3-5 days per week).
