About the Role
At Constellation, our Agile teams aim to rapidly deliver reliable and innovative products and services that enable the business and enhance our customer's experience. As a Scrum Master, you will play a major role in continuing the success of one of our mature Agile teams. This position contributes to our success by leading a high-performing Agile scrum team, championing continuous improvement, and partnering with business stakeholders and product managers to deliver optimal solutions. You will drive high-quality delivery of solutions, encourage team productivity by facilitating planning, and remove impediments that may obstruct the team's progress.
Responsibilities
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution.
- Enable the consistent delivery of value with on-time execution of scoped/scheduled work.
- Ensure Agile-related project reporting (e.g., burndowns, status updates) is relevant, transparent, and adds value.
- Partner with the product owner to mentor/coach scrum teams on user story sizing, acceptance criteria, and backlog refinement and prioritization.
- Lead sprint planning, task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal, sprint review, and retrospectives.
- Manage and surface issues and risks; track team progress using primary tools.
- Oversee the implementation of the Supply Chain Process in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially regarding backlog management.
- Coach team members to optimize project efficiency.
- Support a six-week production release cycle by handling paperwork and approvals across multiple teams.
- Collect business requirements for new enhancements and present them to the Agile team prior to development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems with 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Thorough grasp of Agile and Lean delivery concepts and methodologies, with a history of successfully applying this knowledge.
- Knowledge of change management and experience leading change initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of software delivery techniques (e.g., DevOps).
- Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in meeting facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
- Experience managing teams of user experience and user interface designers.
- First-level Certified Scrum Master or other relevant Agile project management certifications (CSM, SAFe, or PMI-ACP).
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- 5 years of experience with a proven track record of using Agile methodologies in high-tech development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing across business units and functional groups.
- Experience performing business analyst tasks, such as requirements gathering and presenting to technical teams.
- Experience with production releases and coordinating required paperwork and approvals.
- Demonstrated success in leading large projects and providing guidance to project teams.
- Experience building and leading new scrum teams.
- Understanding of IT project lifecycle management standards and practices.
- Second-level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, CSP).

Pay
Expected salary range of $117,900 to $131,000, based on experience.
