What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams supporting VA healthcare modernization initiatives
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Guide teams in the adoption of Agile principles and continuous improvement practices
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to manage and prioritize product backlogs
- Monitor team progress and support continuous improvement efforts
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development or IT modernization programs
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional technical teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience supporting VA healthcare systems including VistA or CPRS
- Familiarity with MUMPS-based applications and healthcare legacy modernization programs
- Experience supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud modernization environments
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR
- SAFe, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or related Agile certifications
