Requirements for this Scribe job

  • A high school diploma
  • The OSC (Ophthalmic Scribe Certification) through JCHAPO is encouraged within the first year
  • A solid understanding of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the proper, safe, and efficient use of medical and office equipment
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical facility while strictly adhering to HIPAA compliance regulations
  • Relevant customer service experience
  • The capacity to see each patient as an individual, recognizing and meeting their unique needs

Work Conditions

  • Eye Clinic of Wisconsin has multiple locations
  • Staff will be assigned to a "home" location, but travel to satellites is a requirement of the position
  • Hours of work will be dependent on the needs of the Clinic
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasional lifting (30 pounds), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs is required
