Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor multi-spindle automatic screw machines to run efficiently and consistently
- Produce parts to print, meeting all quality, dimensional, and tolerance specifications
- Inspect and gauge parts throughout the production run using precision measurement tools to ensure ongoing compliance
- Adjust machine settings, feeds, speeds, cams, and tooling as needed to maintain quality and throughput
- Replace, sharpen, and maintain tooling, drills, taps, inserts, and coolant systems
- Load, monitor, and replenish bar stock to avoid production interruptions
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately (log sheets, inspection records, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators across shift changes
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles (speeds, feeds, tooling)
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in machining a plus
Compensation
$25–$27/hr, based on experience Plus night shift differential
