Screw Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position located onsite in Mooresville, North Carolina 28115.

About the role

Independently operate and optimize assigned screw machines to achieve high productivity, precision, and consistent product quality. This role involves advanced machine operation, set-up, and troubleshooting to address complex machine issues, improve performance, and meet strict quality standards. The Operator also drives continuous process improvements and ensures smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Run assigned mechanical equipment.
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements.
• Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints if applicable.
• Use moderately advanced measuring instruments.
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.).
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in handling complex issues and problems.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter.

Skills

• Ability to interpret work instructions.
• Proficient in following written and verbal directions.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate mathematical skills.
• Intermediate use of required gaging instruments.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Required to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending and stooping required.
• Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
• Must be able to work in noisy environments.

Pay

$21.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).

Schedule

3rd shift, 9:45 pm - 6:00 am.
