Screening Inside Sales Representative

About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the field-based sales organization by driving product growth through exceptional virtual customer interactions to drive early detection of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) through the utilization of the Shield™ blood test.
Responsibilities
- Uncover potential new business utilizing analytical insights and successfully transition incoming leads into active ordering accounts.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through virtual effective prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies.
- Target and engage healthcare providers virtually to build strong relationships and gain their commitment to adopt the Shield test for CRC and other cancers.
- Engage healthcare providers virtually using Challenger Selling to understand their needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health’s offerings can improve patient outcomes and streamline their practice.
- Utilize data from internal resources (Salesforce, Veeva, competitive market data, etc.) to understand the evolving market of CRC treatments and make data-driven decisions.
- Educate and support providers virtually by providing in-depth product knowledge and training to primary care practices, ensuring smooth integration of Shield into their workflow.
- Provide high-touch customer service by resolving issues proactively and supporting healthcare providers in every phase of the sales process.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-year sales experience (internships, inside sales) with sales goals. Virtual selling experience in inside sales is highly preferred.
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated virtual ability to engage in selling conversations, overcoming objections, and aligning client needs with product offerings.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge to drive sales.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information virtually in an easily understandable manner.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms for tracking customer interactions and sales progress (preferred).
- Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- High-touch customer service and relationship-building skills, with a focus on long-term partnership and success (preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for daily field office and customer visits, if required.
- Flexibility to travel to open territories, when needed, and occasional national travel for sales meetings.
- Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Schedule
Hybrid work model with defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
