Scratch Instructor (Part Time, In-Person)

General Responsibilities

• Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development
• Facilitates learning sessions
• Assists students in developing computer science and coding skills

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Responsibility, desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
• Knowledge and ability to instruct in block coding languages such as Scratch and Blockly
• Ability to instruct on controlling robots using block coding languages
• Ability to collect and analyze data
• Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Must possess a bachelor's degree
• Teaching and/or tutoring experience required
• Fluency with Scratch or other block coding languages is preferred
