Union position pays an additional $0.85 per hour after completing the first 60 days of employment.

About the role

Scooter Drivers operate pallet jacks to move items within the warehouse, assist with loading and unloading, and ensure safe transport of goods. They perform daily maintenance checks on equipment and minor troubleshooting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from supervisors for order picking activities.
• Assist in loading and unloading items from delivery trucks.
• Prepare pallets for handling objects appropriately.
• Perform pre-checks on electric pallet jacks to ensure proper working order.
• Perform minor troubleshooting activities when needed.
• Ensure electric pallet jacks are maintained on a periodic basis.
• Pick orders from storage areas and verify accuracy against order sheets.
• Count quantity of items and isolate/report any broken items to the supervisor.
• Operate electric pallet jack to lift and transport items to labeling and quality control.
• Ensure all items are boxed and appropriately labeled.
• Transport items to delivery pallets safely and efficiently.
• Report any unusual incidents or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Remove empty containers from designated locations after picking tasks.
• Perform warehousing tasks such as replenishing pick locations.
• Label, sort, and store picked products.
• Assemble containers and boxes and maintain supplies and equipment.
