Scooter Driver

About the role

Scooter Drivers operate pallet jacks to move items, assist with loading and unloading, ensure the correct items are selected and safely transported to delivery pallets, and perform daily maintenance checks on pallet jacks/forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from supervisors for order‑picking activities.
• Assist in loading and unloading items from delivery trucks.
• Prepare pallets for handling objects appropriately.
• Perform pre‑checks on electric pallet jacks to ensure proper working order.
• Perform minor troubleshooting activities when needed.
• Maintain electric pallet jacks on a periodic basis.
• Pick orders from storage areas and verify accuracy against order sheets.
• Count quantities requested by the customer and isolate/report any broken items immediately.
• Operate electric pallet jack to lift and transport items to the labeling and quality‑control section.
• Ensure all items are boxed and appropriately labeled.
• Transport items to delivery pallets safely and urgently.
• Report any unusual incidents or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Remove empty containers from designated locations after picking tasks.
• Perform various warehousing tasks such as replenishing pick locations.
• Label, sort, and store picked products.
• Assemble containers and boxes and maintain supplies and equipment.
