About the Role

A highly motivated Scientist with expertise in cancer immunotherapy, immune cell biology, and cell therapy development to join our Process Development (PD) / Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) team. This hands-on role focuses on advancing both discovery and translational research programs through experimental design, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot cell therapy manufacturing and process development workflows to improve product quality, consistency, and scalability.
  • Perform hands-on laboratory work including immune cell isolation, engineering, expansion, and characterization.
  • Design and execute multiparameter flow cytometry assays for immune phenotyping and functional characterization.
  • Perform and interpret immunological assays including ELISA, multiplex cytokine analysis, cytotoxicity assays, mixed lymphocyte reactions (MLR), proliferation assays, and related cell-based functional assays.
  • Support translational research activities, biomarker development, IND-enabling studies, and technology transfer initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical teams to advance programs from discovery through clinical development.
  • Analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and generate technical reports, presentations, study summaries, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with applicable quality and documentation standards.
  • Monitor emerging scientific developments and contribute innovative ideas to advance the immunotherapy pipeline.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Immunology, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in cell therapy process development, upstream/downstream manufacturing, and GMP process support.
  • Experience with cell culture, expansion, closed-system processing, process optimization, and scale-up.
  • Experience with process analytics, flow cytometry, potency assays, and statistical data analysis.
  • Experience supporting technology transfer, validation, MSAT, or commercial manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Strong scientific problem-solving, experimental design, data analysis, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cell therapy, or immunotherapy organizations.
  • Experience with T-cell, NK-cell, macrophage, dendritic cell, or other immune cell-based therapeutic platforms.
  • Experience supporting translational research, IND-enabling studies, or preclinical development programs.
  • Familiarity with cell therapy process development, technology transfer, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Knowledge of GLP and/or GMP environments and associated documentation practices.
  • Experience with assay development, biomarker evaluation, and translational immunology.
  • Experience authoring technical reports, study protocols, regulatory support documents, or scientific publications.

Leveling Guidelines

Scientist: Ph.D. with 0–3 years of relevant industry or postdoctoral experience, or M.S. with 4–6 years of relevant industry experience.

Pay
