Job Details The successful candidate is expected to employ multiparametric flow cytometry in our biomarker laboratory to develop and qualify biomarker assays to support various clinical programs. Specific responsibilities associated with the job include independent thinking, choosing the appropriate platform, planning and performing laboratory experiments, documenting experimental protocols and results, and analyzing and interpreting data. With minimal supervision, plans, conducts or monitors experiments, records and organizes data, analyses results, generates robust and reliable data and/or Ensures that contracted studies are conducted in compliance with the respective protocol and applicable guidelines and regulations.Responsibilities include: Monitors or follows established experimental design and protocols and performs routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision. Plans, monitors or conducts, analyzes and records experiments, and provides interpretation of data. Effectively transfers experimental methods from literature to the lab and makes modifications as necessary. Develops and implements new protocols with moderate review. Engages coworkers in scientific discussions. Communicates data and interpretation to work group. Skilled at developing systems to ensure quality data. Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory equipment and with one or more major laboratory instruments/techniques. Effectively trouble-shoots equipment and experimental difficulties. Contributes to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions and/or patents. Participates in department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting and committees. Coordinates and organizes resources needed to complete the task. Understands when to seek input and when to make independent judgments Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize complex flow cytometry assays for clinical applications. Perform hands-on wet lab experimentation, including antibody evaluation, titrations, and assay troubleshooting. Support transfer of assays to CRO partners for validation. Review CRO-generated data and provide technical guidance. Evaluate flow cytometry gating strategies and cell population identification. Identify assay performance issues and recommend adjustments. Support data quality control throughout clinical studies. Collaborate with internal research teams, laboratory leads, and CRO partners. Adapt quickly to shifting program priorities and business needs. Required Qualifications Standard Scientist Senior qualifications: PhD, PharmD, or MD with 2 years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 5 years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience. PRIMARY MUST-HAVE SKILL: COMPLEX FLOW CYTOMETRY Extensive hands-on flow cytometry experience is essential. Must have direct experience with complex multiparameter flow cytometry, ideally 15–30 color panels. Strong knowledge of flow cytometry instrumentation, experimental design, gating, and data analysis. Must independently perform experiments, analyze results, and troubleshoot technical issues. Conceptual exposure or limited experience with basic 2–3 color flow cytometry is insufficient. Candidate should be capable of contributing with minimal foundational training. Preferred Experience Clinical biomarker development. Clinical assay validation and optimization. CRO collaboration and technical oversight. Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academic, or clinical research environments. Flow cytometry core laboratory experience. Experience transitioning assays from discovery research to clinical testing. Clinical biomarker experience is strongly preferred but not an absolute requirement if the candidate possesses substantial hands-on technical expertise. Pay ranges between 38-44/hr based on experience
