About the role
Together, our Research & Product Development team is driven by a shared passion for pets and people. As a Scientist, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development of new products and processes from concept through commercialization by planning and executing trials, experiments, and technical projects. Come prepared to partner cross-functionally with teams to deliver business-driven innovations and ensure successful project implementation. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and perform the necessary trials and experiments as required to deliver in a timely manner the development projects that meet the requirements of the regional business units and Global Strategic Business Units (GSBU).
- Provide product and technical input and assistance within the Research & Development Network and externally (e.g., with Marketing, Manufacturing, vendors) as required on low complexity projects.
- Participate and contribute on project implementation teams by assisting with hand-off from development through start-up and providing operational training.
- Provide effective project leadership, complete all required documentation and project reporting in a timely manner, adhere to Company policy on protection of patent rights and intellectual property, and ensure all appropriate documents and project records are filed.
- Effectively communicate results of development through oral presentations and timely, written technical documentation and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related discipline.
- Willingness to travel 15%.
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is $73,000 to $103,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
