About the role

Snapdragon Chemistry is seeking exceptional candidates for its Scientist position in Waltham, MA, starting in 2027. This role involves joining a team of innovative scientists to design synthetic routes for continuous flow processing, develop reactor systems with cutting-edge analytical and automation technologies, and deliver high-quality chemical matter to clients. Responsibilities

• Leverage scientific knowledge and develop technology to solve continuous process development challenges and meet client needs.
• Contribute to activities that build upon Snapdragon Chemistry’s proprietary knowledge and technology to fulfill value creation potential.
• Participate in project teams to complete complex deliverables within stringent timelines and communicate results to key stakeholders.
• Engage in business development activities and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of continuous flow technology, synthetic organic chemistry, and process development principles.
• Uphold Snapdragon Chemistry’s high integrity and profile within the scientific community.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) or actively pursuing a Ph.D. with expectation to receive the degree by July 2027.
• Experience in developing new synthetic methods and understanding of physical organic chemistry principles.
• Experience using kinetic analysis and experimental tools to determine reaction mechanisms.
• Experience with flow reaction development is preferred but not required.

Pay

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. The actual base salary offered may depend on factors such as qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
