Scientist - Onsite, Ashburn, VA
About the role
BluePath Labs is seeking a Scientist to support a Federal Government client. The Scientist will support laboratory operations, technology assessment, test and evaluation, scientific testing, and laboratory process improvement. This position is contingent upon contract award; applicants selected may be contacted for further steps if the contract is awarded.
Responsibilities
- Laboratory support, including equipment calibration and maintenance
- Testing and implementing new technologies
- Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data
- Developing templates, SOPs, and other documentation
- Improving laboratory processes
- Working with multidisciplinary teams (data scientists, engineers, analysts) to review data and contribute to reports, dashboards, and other deliverables
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline
- Experience with laboratory operations, scientific testing, or research and development
- Ability to summarize scientific findings and communicate them orally and in writing
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systems engineering and technology assessment
- Federal experience
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
- Experience with inventory management
