About the Role

This position focuses on independent work and leading projects while performing technically diverse assignments. You will support laboratory and testing operations to ensure the quality of raw and finished goods, including Environmental Monitoring, Cleaning Validations, and other Sanitation responsibilities. The role involves analyzing and interpreting data, writing reports, and maintaining proficiency with laboratory equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform all basic microbiological testing and media preparation, including testing lactospores and anaerobes.
• Conduct Environmental Monitoring, Cleaning Validations, and Sanitation responsibilities.
• Perform calibrations and maintain calibration records.
• Organize and prioritize samples for testing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
• Conduct peer-to-peer audits and review others' work as a flexible team member.
• Keep detailed and complete records, analyze data, and determine root causes.
• Allocate 60% of time to Environmental Monitoring, Sanitation, and report writing, and 40% to daily sample setup and media preparation.

Requirements

• BS in a scientific field (Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry preferred) with 7-10 years of experience.
• Sanitation experience and HACCP certification required.
• Knowledge of microbiology, math, chemistry, and testing of natural products and ingredients.
• Familiarity with GMP and GLP requirements, environmental monitoring, and allergen testing.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and documentation systems.
• Strong report-writing skills and ability to communicate results effectively.
• Ability to work as a team member with a results-driven mindset.
