Scientist Intern

About the role

Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to join our R&D team for a summer research project focused on improving ddPCR systems. Key activities include preparing bulk solutions, performing ddPCR and qPCR assays across multiple platforms, analyzing experimental data, and presenting results to the project team.

Requirements

We're looking for a Research Intern with an upbeat attitude to join our R&D team for a summer. The successful candidate will be an individual who enjoys lab work, wants to learn new skills related to ddPCR technology, has great communication & organization skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited university in a scientific discipline or related field.
• Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles.
• Strong communication skills, Attention to details and ability to follow instructions – written and verbal.
• 3.0 Minimum GPA.
• Rising Juniors, Seniors, and Masters Students.
• Be willing to make a full-time commitment of 40 hours a week for 9 weeks from June 15 to August 14, 2026.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.

Schedule

This position must be based in Hercules, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
