About the role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Scientist II, QC Labs to join our team. In this role, you will perform routine workflow processes within the Quality Control Laboratory to meet customer requirements by supporting the testing of raw materials and finished products while ensuring regulatory compliance standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform qualitative, quantitative chemical and physical testing as specified by compendia or specification for APIs, starting materials, packaging components, and finished products.
- Perform peer review of analytical testing documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Complete and/or conduct required training according to the laboratory curriculum.
- Maintain laboratory data in an orderly manner in laboratory notebooks, worksheets, and documents.
- Re-validate microbiological methods.
- Author technical reports for analytical methods improvement.
- Perform investigational, troubleshooting, and advanced analytical techniques to troubleshoot approved commercial analysis.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the critical functions/variables for each type of equipment and possess instrument troubleshooting ability.
- Work independently using a team approach to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 7 years of GMP analytical pharmaceutical laboratory experience, including work-related experiences demonstrating the execution of analytical methods with supervision for evaluation and release of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) or pharmaceutical products.
- Ability to perform compendia and non-compendia testing for multiple projects simultaneously.

- Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry or a scientific-related discipline with 2+ years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience, including work-related experiences demonstrating the execution of analytical methods with supervision for evaluation and release of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) or pharmaceutical products.
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience working with Empower data analysis software and peer review of data.
