In this position, you will take ownership of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analytical operations, work with complex radiopharmaceutical compounds, and collaborate within a world-class laboratory setting. If you excel at optimizing analytical systems, working independently, and maintaining rigorous scientific standards, this is an exceptional opportunity to expand your expertise in radiochemistry and liquid chromatography. location: North Chicago, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $48.00 - 54.12 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors Responsibilities Support the setup, calibration, and optimization of HPLC systems for PET tracer metabolite analysis. Perform daily operations and routine runs using HPLC systems dedicated to metabolite profiling. Conduct routine PET radiotracer production activities following established protocols. Independently establish HPLC methods to ensure instrumentation remains robust, reliable, and properly maintained. Document all experimental procedures, analytical results, and daily laboratory activities in strict compliance with applicable standards. Adhere to all relevant laboratory safety guidelines, environmental health regulations, and quality compliance requirements. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline with at least 5 years of relevant research/lab experience; OR a Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of research experience. Core Technical Knowledge: Organic Chemistry expertise along with a proven, hands-on working knowledge of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS). Lab Capability: Demonstrated ability to work independently, establish analytical methods, and maintain complex laboratory instrumentation effectively. Preferred Qualifications Direct hands-on experience in PET radiochemistry. Deep experience setting up, optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex HPLC systems.
