Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize image analysis pipelines for both 2D and 3D biomedical imaging data.
- Perform quantitative analysis of histology, IHC, IF, and multiplex imaging datasets.
- Apply classical image processing and machine learning techniques for segmentation, feature extraction, and classification.
- Integrate and utilize multiple digital pathology platforms such as HALO, Visiopharm, QuPath, and CellProfiler.
- Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, and data scientists to define analytical endpoints and study objectives.
- Validate image-derived biomarkers and ensure analytical rigor and reproducibility.
- Document analysis workflows and maintain reproducible pipelines in accordance with best practices.
- Support interpretation and visualization of imaging data for scientific reports and presentations.
- Enable cross-team collaboration by sharing image analysis tools, pipelines, and algorithms.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree with applicable experience in a related scientific discipline.
- Strong proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Python and/or R.
- Extensive experience applying machine learning techniques, particularly in biomedical or pathology imaging.
- Hands-on experience with digital pathology image analysis, including cell segmentation and marker quantification from multiplex IHC datasets.
- Experience with image analysis platforms such as HALO AI, Visiopharm, QuPath, or CellProfiler.
- Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or related field) required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
