Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize image analysis pipelines for both 2D and 3D biomedical imaging data.
  • Perform quantitative analysis of histology, IHC, IF, and multiplex imaging datasets.
  • Apply classical image processing and machine learning techniques for segmentation, feature extraction, and classification.
  • Integrate and utilize multiple digital pathology platforms such as HALO, Visiopharm, QuPath, and CellProfiler.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, and data scientists to define analytical endpoints and study objectives.
  • Validate image-derived biomarkers and ensure analytical rigor and reproducibility.
  • Document analysis workflows and maintain reproducible pipelines in accordance with best practices.
  • Support interpretation and visualization of imaging data for scientific reports and presentations.
  • Enable cross-team collaboration by sharing image analysis tools, pipelines, and algorithms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree with applicable experience in a related scientific discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Python and/or R.
  • Extensive experience applying machine learning techniques, particularly in biomedical or pathology imaging.
  • Hands-on experience with digital pathology image analysis, including cell segmentation and marker quantification from multiplex IHC datasets.
  • Experience with image analysis platforms such as HALO AI, Visiopharm, QuPath, or CellProfiler.
  • Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or related field) required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex computational results into clear scientific insights.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for advancing digital pathology and image-based biomarker development.
