About the Role
This is a 1-year contract position located in Ridgefield, CT, supporting new therapeutic modalities including peptides, oligonucleotides, viruses, antibodies, and non-viral delivery systems.
Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory studies with minimal supervision.
- Design and perform routine and non-routine experiments.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experimental methods.
- Independently interpret and report scientific data.
- Prepare buffers, mobile phases, and multi-component formulations.
- Perform chromatographic and biophysical characterization studies.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and materials.
- Develop protocols, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with applicable regulations and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
Skills
Required
- Hands-on wet chemistry and formulation preparation.
- Buffer, mobile phase, and multi-component formulation preparation.
- HPLC chromatography and method execution.
- SEC and other chromatography modes.
- Field Flow Fractionation (FFF/AF4).
- Experimental design, execution, and scientific data interpretation.
- Laboratory equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Development of laboratory protocols, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Experience working with emerging therapeutic modalities such as peptides, oligonucleotides, antibodies, viral or non-viral delivery systems.
Preferred
- NMR spectroscopy analysis.
- Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS).
- FlowCam / sub-micron particle characterization.
- Fluorescent labeling and microscopy.
- Image analysis.
- DNA/RNA isolation.
- Electrophoresis.
- PCR.
- Biophysical characterization of biologics or drug-delivery systems.
Pay
$40.32 per hour.
