Scientist I - Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater West, Corvallis, OR

About the role

Eurofins Environment Testing provides comprehensive environmental analysis across the US. This role supports accurate, timely, and high-quality data generation for public and private clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze microbiology samples including potable and non-potable water, and soil
• Understand and interpret Oregon Health Authority rules and regulations
• Support clients in person, by email, and over the phone
• Maintain the laboratory in clean and excellent working order
• Maintain laboratory supply inventory, perform QC checks, and prepare Certificates of Analysis
• Perform monthly environmental monitoring
• Document laboratory functions in logbooks and computer systems
• Analyze samples on weekends when required
• Prepares and ships samples, bottle orders, and other items to clients and/or laboratories
• Sample Courier driving as required

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field
• 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for a degree
• Valid Driver's License & clean driving record
• Two or more years of bench top laboratory experience is a plus
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)

$22.20 - $27.00 / hour
