About the role
The Scientist/Engineer III will provide onsite support to DARPA's Microsystems Technology Office (MTO).
Responsibilities
- Participate in or lead all activities in project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, program-funded test coordination, and coordination with members of the Department of Defense for transition.
- Cover meetings, assess performer technical progress, project performer outcomes, and ensure project management best practices are followed.
- Develop point papers, slide decks, and other materials that convey the need, status, and importance of a program.
- Research unique problem set ideas to aid in National Security priorities.
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Active DOD Secret clearance of the ability to obtain one
- 12+ years of experience
- Experience in planning and developing technical projects of a research and development nature, concerned with unique or controversial problems which have an important effect on major Department of War programs.
- Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning, and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
- Successfully demonstrated the ability to independently conduct the appropriate analysis to offer recommendations, solutions, and alternatives to resolve R&D issues, concerns, problems, or methods in areas related to DARPA Technical Offices.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices required in the field/disciplines to which he/she is providing expertise.
