This is a fully onsite role based at our customer’s site in Collegeville, PA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. About the Role

Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff. As an employee, you will gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company while maintaining full-time benefits. This role involves providing routine laboratory and operational support for reagent management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Critical reagent preparation, inventory management, data entry, documentation, and shipment coordination.
  • General laboratory organization and support for ongoing projects by executing established procedures under the guidance of GSK staff.
  • Protein purification and characterization using techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis/A280 concentration measurements, SDS-PAGE, and basic data interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation with strong attention to detail.
  • Utilize AKTA, HPLC, FPLC, or similar chromatography systems for protein purification and characterization.
  • Experience with antibody conjugation and related bioconjugation techniques.
  • Conduct ligand binding assays (LBA), including ELISA and other immunoassay-based analytical methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • BS degree with 2-4 years of experience in an appropriate subject area.
  • Technical proficiency in formulation/process development techniques.
  • Good knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements, SOPs, and policies.
  • Operational knowledge of routine laboratory/plant equipment.
  • In some cases, an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered.

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Work is performed in a laboratory and/or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Occasional drives to site locations and domestic travel.
  • Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
  • Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, radiation, toxic materials, and hazardous waste.
  • Personal protective equipment required, such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.
  • Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
  • Occasional mobility, crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting of the upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects, including luggage and laptop computer, with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software, both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively and listen to others.
  • Frequent interaction with diverse groups to obtain or relate information.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance, planning work schedules to meet goals.
  • Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks with little predictability as to occurrence.
  • Ability to perform under stress and multi-task.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
