Scientist

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and process test articles for testing.
• Communicate and coordinate sample preparation and scheduling with scientific staff and Study Directors.
• Determine the surface area and calculate the required extraction ratio for test articles submitted for testing.
• Prepare samples and dosing solutions according to standard operating procedures and as directed by study protocols using aseptic techniques.
• Meticulously maintain precise records of all preparations in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Safely wear a respirator, as needed, and follow all safety requirements.
• Run assays and manage weekly schedules that outline necessary activities.
• Check study protocols to determine the necessary tasks and perform dosing studies in the vivarium.

Requirements

• Direct experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) setting.
• Familiarity with ISO standards.
• Experience handling medical devices for testing.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong sense of responsibility and integrity.

Skills

• Experience in toxicology, dosing, and intravenous (IV) procedures.
• Leadership qualities to train and guide less experienced personnel.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work independently.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include direct experience in a CRO setting, familiarity with ISO standards, and experience handling medical devices for testing. Additional qualifications may include experience in toxicology, dosing, and IV procedures, leadership qualities, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and work independently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
