About the role

In this position, you will independently design and execute immunoassays (e.g., ELISA) based on established protocols, troubleshoot assay-related issues with minimal supervision, and propose protocol modifications or alternatives. You will develop immunoassay methods, draft validation protocols, and routinely manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your responsibilities will include summarizing and presenting results, performing validation experiments, and writing or reviewing validation reports and procedure documents. Effective communication with your supervisor and team members is essential.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and execute immunoassays (e.g., ELISA) using protocols from literature, seminars, or other scientists.
• Troubleshoot assay-related problems and perform follow-up experiments with minimal guidance.
• Suggest and implement modifications to protocols or propose alternative approaches.
• Develop immunoassay methods and write assay validation protocols for review with minimal supervision.
• Multi-task across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Summarize and present results logically, both verbally and in written reports or presentations.
• Perform validation experiments, summarize results in tabular format, and write or review validation reports and procedure documents.
• Operate and oversee maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, including verifications as required.
• Evaluate new technologies for immunoassay development using novel formats or techniques.
• Maintain GLP compliance for all laboratory work and documentation related to assay validations, adhering to FDA regulations and company SOPs.
• Assist in maintaining GLP compliance in the laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness of individual and communal work areas.
• Comply with laboratory safety requirements and address potential safety issues proactively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology or a related field with 6+ years of experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of immunoassays using a variety of detection systems.
• Proven understanding of methodologies to measure proteins and immunogenicity.
• Experience in bioanalytical assay development is highly desirable.

Pay

Salary Range (annually): $93,900.00 - $153,300.00.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tarrytown, requiring 5 days per week on-site.
