Scientist - Analytical Development, Regeneron Cell Medicines (RCM)

About the role

The Scientist, RCM Analytical Development, supports Regeneron Cell Medicines (RCM) cell therapy programs by developing, optimizing, and executing biophysical assays to characterize lentiviral vectors.

Responsibilities

• Advance analytical development for cell therapy programs, with a primary focus on lentiviral vectors (LVVs).
• Strengthen existing and establish new biophysical methods to characterize LVVs.
• Analyze, interpret, and clearly present complex datasets to technical and cross-functional audiences.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across RCM to troubleshoot challenges, align on priorities, and support program execution.
• Author and review technical documentation, including assay protocols, method development reports, and data summaries.
• Maintain complete, timely, and compliant electronic lab notebook records, support instrument upkeep, and independently troubleshoot equipment and assays.

Requirements

A typical day as Scientist might look like advancing analytical development for cell therapy programs, with a primary focus on lentiviral vectors (LVVs). Strengthening existing and establishing new biophysical methods to characterize LVVs. Analyzing, interpreting, and clearly presenting complex datasets to technical and cross-functional audiences. Partnering with cross-functional teams across RCM to troubleshoot challenges, align on priorities, and support program execution. Authoring and reviewing technical documentation, including assay protocols, method development reports, and data summaries. Maintaining complete, timely, and compliant electronic lab notebook records, supporting instrument upkeep, and independently troubleshooting equipment and assays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• 6-8+ years of proven experience with characterization and quantitative analysis of lentiviral vectors.
• Ability to work independently to design experiments, as well as interpret, document, and communicate results.
• Experience with biophysical characterization techniques for sizing and counting particles, such as DLS, MRPS, and fluorescent labeling assays.
• Understanding and knowledge of viral vector biology, design, process, and gene delivery mechanisms.

$93,900.00 - $153,300.00 annually
