Scientific Business Development Associate – Biotech CRO

ABOUT THE ROLEKevda Bio is looking for U.S.-based postdocs and PhD candidates who want real experience in biotech business development.You’ll identify biotech companies, startups, spinouts, and academic labs that may need outsourced research, make introductions, qualify opportunities, and join scoping calls with Kevda Bio’s scientific team.Prior BD experience is not required. We’re looking for scientifically credible people with strong networks who are curious about the commercial side of biotech.This is a commission-only independent contractor role with no base salary.WHAT YOU’LL DO• Identify potential customers in biotech, biopharma, and academia• Prospect within your scientific and professional network• Find opportunities involving mRNA, LNPs, cloning, assays, or protein characterization• Make introductions and help qualify real customer needs• Join project-scoping calls with Kevda Bio’s scientific team• Help move opportunities from introduction to signed projectCOMPENSATION• 20% of invoiced revenue on every project you source• Paid when the client pays• No quota, fixed hours, or earnings ceilingA $50,000 project = $10,000 commission.WHAT YOU’LL GAIN• Real CRO business-development experience• Quantifiable deals for your CV• Exposure to biotech sales, qualification, and project scoping• Industry relationships in the mRNA/LNP space• A professional reference from Kevda Bio leadershipWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR• U.S.-based postdocs or PhD candidates in RNA biology, drug delivery, vaccinology, gene therapy, or related fields• Strong scientific understanding and industry/academic connections• Confidence initiating conversations and making introductions• Strong communication and relationship-building skills• Permission to earn outside income under your institution’s policies and visa/work authorizationABOUT KEVDA BIOKevda Bio is a preclinical CRO with commercial operations in Boston and lab execution in Bangalore.Services include:• IVT mRNA and microfluidic LNP formulation• Cloning and vector engineering• Cell-based assays• Protein characterizationAPPLY HEREhttps://kevda.bio/careers/bd-associate
