About the role

Ci Design, Inc. is a dynamic, highly collaborative architectural firm providing architecture, planning, and interior design services to clients domestically and internationally. The Science & Technology Principal applies intensive and diversified knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad areas.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains strong local industry connections and clientele, with the ability to win new work and grow the firm’s presence in the region.
  • Decides and recommends on matters that have an important impact on the office.
  • Affords functional supervision and mentoring to professionals and technicians within the architecture discipline.
  • Attends trade shows, assists in the preparation of promotional materials and proposals for potential projects.
  • Participates in the selection of design teams, and subconsultants, and in the negotiations of fees and subcontractors.
  • May supervise Architects and support personnel, evaluates performance; assigns and schedules work; establishes project priorities and standards; makes recommendations on hiring, firing and promotions; provides technical support of project work.
  • Holds membership in professional associations and participates on company committees.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of their projects.

Requirements

  • AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop
  • Licensed as a Registered Architect (R.A.) preferred
  • Experience as lead designer for commercial, retail, office, hotel, mixed-use projects or master-planning projects.
  • Ability to accomplish technical assignments of varying complexity.
  • Minimum 15 years practicing under a licensed architect.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in architecture.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of architectural principles and practices.
  • Experience in planning and executing projects.
  • Strong client relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and Photoshop.
