About the role
Pipestone Area School District #2689 is seeking a full-time Earth Science Teacher to deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction and contribute to the school community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Minnesota Academic Standards-based lessons to high school students in Earth Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to carry out a Multi-tiered System of Supports.
- Maintain accurate records of students' grades and attendance.
- Participate fully in mentoring and instructional coaching programs, align and deepen curriculum, and improve pedagogy.
- Practice and carry out rules and procedures as defined by the Pipestone Area School District.
- Participate in staff in-service, staff meetings, department work, committee work, and parent conference nights.
- Support the Principal with supervision of students.
- Communicate positively to develop rapport with learners and treat them with respect.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the school's mission: Inspire life-long learners, Build Character, and Prepare them for their Future.
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- Possess a high level of organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable computer user; familiarity with Student Information Systems.
- Solid classroom management skills based on current research practices.
- Willingness to be involved in other aspects of the Pipestone Area Schools culture and community.
- Team player and team-oriented thinker.

Pay
Salary range is $51,000–$95,000, according to the current master agreement.
Teachers report to the building principal. Opportunities for extra-curricular activities may be available and posted on the District website.
